What is Search?

Search is a voluntary Catholic Organisation, for 16 to 25 year olds (Candidates), run by other young adults (Team), mostly around the same age. It is about finding the relationship between yourself and others and most importantly, the relationship between yourself and God.
 

What could you get out of Search?

During the weekend you will make a lot of new friends, that I can guarantee. You may find Search a great help with dealing with your problems, basically an outlet for your emotions, or maybe you won't get anything out of Search. So come along with an open mind, sit back relax and enjoy the weekend
 

Other Information.

Search usually has weekends, twice each year. They are usually around April and November and are held in St. Clement's Retreat House (Belfast) and in Garron Tower (Glens). The price of the weekend is about £ 25. This includes the your meals, board and the use of the place you are staying in. In case some of you are worried that you are not allowed to smoke in the place There is a lot of praying and a lot of work to find that relationship. But most of all we have lots of fun, otherwise it can get rather boring.

The difference between Candidate and Team.

When you first do the weekend you are known as a 'Candidate'. This means that you do what we tell you to do. That may sound as if Search is run like a prison camp, in fact it is just the opposite of a prison camp. 'Candidates' are often very nervous on the Friday night and they go home whenever during the weekend, but it is advisable to stay the Friday night because then you will not miss anything that may happen during the rest of the weekend.

Whenever you finish the weekend you become one of the 'Team'. This means that you can take control (within reason) of what you happens with the next weekend.
